Bikul Kumar Deka appointed as new chairman of Assam Petrochemical Limited

GUWAHATI: The Assam Petrochemical Limited (APL) appointed Bikul Kumar Deka as its new chairman, on Wednesday. The post for the chairman was lying vacant after Jagdish Bhuyan resigned from his position agitating over the contentious CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act).

Bikul Kumar Deka, who earlier served as the vice-chairman of APL said that he was informed about his new role by an official of the Chief Minister. He will be taking charge whenever the office reopens after the lockdown.
