BJP Leader Chandrakanta Das Resigns From Party

GUWAHATI: Senior BJP leader Chandrakanta Das resigned from the party over a resignation letter on Thursday. He was the former Vice President of the party, a member of the North Eastern Council and former IAS of the Government of Assam.

Talking to the Sentinel, Chandrakanta Das commented, “I have not mentioned my reason for resignation in the letter but I have quit as a primary member of the party as well.” Although the reason for his resignation is not stated, it is speculated that Das quit because he was unhappy about the current situation prevailing in the state. Besides Das, BJP Spokesperson Mehdi Alom Bora had also previously resigned from the party.
