Body of NF Railway loco pilot found in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The body of NF Railway's loco pilot Abhijit Anand (32) was found in a jungle at New Guwahati Last Gate here on Thursday.

According to the police, the body bore injury marks on the face and the rear side of the head. He hailed from Bihar and was staying at Sankar Nagar in the Noonmati area in the city.

Anand went for duty at 9.30 pm on Wednesday but could not report for duty.

Meanwhile, NF Railway employees created a situation at the spot raising demand for the security of railway workers and officials. The police sent the body to the GMCH (Gauhati Medical College & Hospital) for the post-mortem.
