Body of youth dragged by scooty; accused arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A terrifying incident of a scooty dragging a body was captured in CCTV footage in Bylane number 14 in Ganesh Mandir Road under the Noonmati area on Saturday. In order to dump the body, it was being dragged. According to the sources, the body is identified as that of Rohit Darzi of Bamunimaidan.

According to police sources, the whole incident of taking the body, putting it on the scooty and then dragging it was caught on the CCTV footage. The person was trying to discard the body, but when he saw the locals, he left the site and kept the body with the scooty along the lane. The locals informed the police, and the police took the body.

According to police sources, the incident took place in Bylane No. 12 on Ganesh Mandir Road, on the third floor of Vijayajyoti Apartment. Rohit went to his friend Subhrajit Bora's place and was there the whole time. The reason is yet to be known, whether it was a murder or suicide. But the whole scene of bringing the body and dragging by scooty was captured.

Subhrajit Bora was on the run, but he was arrested in Rajgarh by tracing his phone on Sunday.
