Bollywood actress Seema Biswas donates Rs 5 lakh in the fight against COVID-19

Fight against COVID-19 & succor to Assamese in Mumbai

GUWAHATI: Bollywood actress from Assam Seema Biswas has extended Rs 5 lakh for the fight against COVID-19 and succour to the people of Assam who have been languishing in Mumbai because of the nationwide corona lockdown.

While Rs 2.50 lakh of the total amount is for assistance to the people of Assam now stuck in Mumbai through Assam Bhawan in the commercial capital of the country and their family members, the remaining Rs 2.50 lakh has been deposited in the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Mumbai Assam Bhawan employee Dhrubajyoti Sarma received the cheque of Rs 5 lakh from the actress in her Goregoan residence on behalf of the Assam government on Wednesday.
