Book on Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan released at Guwahati Press Club

GUWAHATI: "Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan-a historical biography" written by Professor Abdul Kaiyum Al Aman was released here on Saturday at Guwahati Press Club by former Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) president Kanaksen Deka.

The other dignitaries present in this programme were senior journalist Haider Hussain; Dr. Atuwar Rahman, retired professor of Gauhati University and others. The book was published by Delhi Dot Publication.

Addressing the gathering, Kanaksen Deka said that Sir Sayad Ahmed Khan worked for the development of the mankind and not only for the Muslim community. Only because of him Aligarh Muslim University was established on 1920. Deka praised the writer and appeal to all to read this book.

Haider Hussain stated that for time-being Muslim community has been recognized as a nominal class of people in Indian society and hence the Muslim writers were deprived of their hard work. He asked the people to buy the book keeping aside the class differences.

In his speech, the writer said that as this book is written on the life of Sir Sayed Ahmed Khan so this should be read by everyone to know about this great personality about his life struggle and about his developmental works for the society. He appeal to the people to read his book to know more about this great personality.
