'Bring back old pension scheme' Says President Prabin Saikia

GUWAHATI: The Assam School (Newly Provincialized) Retired and Working Teachers' and Employees' Coordination Committee president Prabin Saikia and secretary Nripen Sarmah raised the demand for bringing back the Old Pension Scheme instead of the New Pension Scheme. The employees who joined the service before 1.1.2004 should be provided gratuity, monthly pension and other allowances according to the Assam Pension Act, 1969. They also demanded recruitment of their family members and providing full-time salary to the family of employees who died during their service.
