Call for provincialisation of venture educational institutions

GUWAHATI: All Assam Non-Provincialised Teachers’ Association will organize a conference on March 4 regarding the issue of provincialisation of all venture educational institutions. The association has already raised a demand to the Assam government so that the government takes a needful decision about this matter in the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly that will begin from March 10.

Among the 14 demands raised by the association, the main demands are as follows. The public sector educational institutions which are established before Jan 1, 2006 and recognized after Jan 1, 2006 should be brought under the Provincialisation Act.

And 39 full-fledged degree colleges found in First Year/ Last Year concurrence and 77 senior secondary and 64 higher secondary schools found in First Year/ Second Year concurrence should be brought under the Provincialisation Act equally.
