Cancel farm laws, says farmers' body

GUWAHATI: The Nikhil Bharat Krishak Sabha, along with other organizations, staged protest in Guwahati in support of their various demands, including the cancellation of the three farm laws, besides scrapping the amended Electricity Act.

They submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the Kamrup (M) District Administration in support of their demands. Other demands include fixation of right prices for agricultural produces, setting up of a regulated market in each gaon panchayat in the State and putting on hold eviction of landless farmers till alternative arrangements are made for them.
