Cannabis smuggler caught in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Train checking party of Guwahati GRPS recovered 12 kg of suspected cannabis (Ganja) from 15960 Down Kamrup Express Train (Coach no -B/2, seat no -23) at 7.50 am on Saturday.

The cannabis was in the possession of Dinesh Jadav, 54, S/O Shiv Pujan Yadav of Paharipur Khiriya, Madhuban district (UP) who boarded the Train at Dimapur Railway Station towards Vardhman Railway Station.

A case (34/19 u/s 20(b) NDPS Act) is being registered in this connection, as further investigation is being made into the matter.
