CM distributes appointment letters for 84 posts in the state forest department

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday ceremonially distributed appointment letters to 84 newly-recruited forest rangers and compassionate ground appointees under Assam Forest Department in Guwahati. The appointment letters were distributed at an event where Minister of Forest & Environment Parimal Suklabaidya and other dignitaries were present.

Speaking on the occasion Sonowal said, ''Many deserving youths remained unemployed and were deprived of Government jobs. This happened due to the never-ending corruption during the rule of the previous Government. After taking charge, our Government has ensured to make every recruitment process corruption-free and transparent in the State.''

He further added that Assam is blessed with mesmerizing natural resources and biodiversity and hopes that the newly-appointed forest rangers will diligently serve to protect the available resources and also encourage others to conserve nature.
