Containment period of Spanish Garden in RG Baruah Road extended for more 14 days

GUWAHATI: The containment period of Spanish Garden premises in RG Baruah Road here has been extended for more 14 days, said a notification issued by District Disaster Management Authority on Sunday.

The decision was taken in accordance with the revised COVID-19 guidelines. The notification stated that, “This order is made under ‘The Assam COVID-19 Regulations 2020’ and any violation of this order will attract action.”

The Spanish Garden premises were sealed earlier this month after one of its residents named Manish Tibrewal had tested positive for COVID-19. He was admitted to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and released on Sunday after a series of tests
