Cotton University & B. Barooah College prepare sanitizers to fight ‘shortage’ in Assam

GUWAHATI: The Department of Chemistry, Cotton University has prepared a hand sanitizer solution that will be used in various branches and departments of the University. Under the initiative of Vice-Chancellor Professor Bhabesh Ch. Goswami; the department has prepared the solution as a measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Professor Goswami inaugurated the use of the sanitizer in the Chemistry department in the presence of Registrar Professor Diganta Kr. Das, Head of the Department of Chemistry Dr. Prahas Ch. Sarma, coordinator of the project Dr. Manjit Kr. Bhattacharya and others. Dr. Sangeeta Agarwal of the department and research scholars Hiren Nath, Amal Das, Bidyut Das, and Pranoy Sarma worked in the project.

B. Barooah College Chemistry Department’s College Teacher unit has also prepared a hand sanitizer solution which will be used by the staff on the college premises.
