CRPF All-women motorcycle expedition-2023 from Northeast flagged off

 GUWAHATI: As a part of the celebrations of Naari Shakti of the Nation, the CRPF is organising the “All Women Bike Expedition 2023” from various parts of the country, which shall cover approximately 10,000 kilo metres across the length and breadth of the nation and culminate at the iconic Statue of Unity at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 31 on the occasion of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”. There are three teams of women expeditions being flagged off from Srinagar, Shillong, and Kanyakumari. Each team will consist of 25 bikes and 50 female personnel who will traverse this journey. All Women Motorcycle Expedition-2023 (Team-II), consisting of 50 Mahila Riders from NE Zone, was flagged in on Thursday by B.K. Singh, IPS, ADG, NEZ, CRPF, Guwahati, at Group Centre CRPF Guwahati. The women motorcycle riders were felicitated by the chief guest, followed by lunch. The women riders met with adolescent girls and boys of Kendriya Vidyalaya, 9th Mile, Guwahati, to promote the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign.

On this auspicious occasion, Dr. Amiyaranjan Sarkar, IG (Medical), Arunender Pratap, DIG, NEZ Guwahati, Manas Ranjan, DIG, GC Guwahati, other senior officers, subordinate officers, and all ranks and files of the CRPF were present. The women bikers, known as ‘Yashaswini’, will carry the national flag and the CRPF flag, along with the force’s message to the nation,Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak’. CRPF “All Women Motorcycle Expedition 2023” (Team-II) will be flagged off on October 6 by Nandita Gorlosa, Assam Cabinet Minister for Power, Co-operation, Sports and Youth Welfare, and ITFC (Archaeology) department, stated a press release.
