Cultural function held at Panjabari in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur under the Union Ministry of Culture, organized a 'Community Cultural Programme 2022-23' the Shilpgram complex at Panjabari here on Tuesday

According to a press release, folk songs and dances of different communities were performed by five troupes of folk artistes on the occasion.

The programme was marked by colourful songs and dances, including Tokari Geet by Kamala Gogoi and group, Thong-Ka-Manau folk dance by the Singpho community, Torasira Bihu by the Thengal-Kachari community, Huroi Rangaoli Bihu by the Chutia community and Assamese folk songs by Sandeep Gogoi and group. Eminent artiste and member of NEZCC, Kishor Kumar Das, was a guest on the occasion. A total of 72 artistes participated in the programme, which concluded with the National Anthem.
