East Guwahati Police District rescue 48 cattle from Byrnihat

GUWAHATI: In yet another success against cattle smuggling, a team from the East Guwahati Police District was able to rescue several cattle from a truck.

A team of officials from the Jorabat outpost under the Basistha Police Station carried out an operation in Byrnihat, the state capital, and was able to rescue 48 cattle. A truck bearing registration number HR 38 R 7855 was also seized by the police team for transporting the animals without due permission.
