GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has revised the evaluation criteria of NSQF (National Skill Qualification Framework) elective subjects. A notification by the Board mentioned that with effect from the session 2021-22, the theory papers will carry a weightage of 40 marks while the practical papers will have a weightage of 60 marks for class IX. The subjects which will come under the new proposal are Retail Trade, IT/ITeS, Private Security, Health Care, Agriculture & Horticulture, Tourism & Hospitality, Beauty & Wellness, Automotive, Electronics & Hardware and Animal Health Worker. The new criteria will also be implemented for class X with effect from 2022-23.
The notification further mentioned that a new subject code no 61 has been introduced for the subject Animal Health Worker in class IX from the session 2021-22. The subject code no 53 for Agriculture & Horticulture or Animal Health Worker will remain the same for the HSLC exam, 2022.
