GUWAHATI: Association of Registered Pharmacists, Assam (ARPA) accused that many people have acquired Diploma in Pharmacy from suspicious pharmacy institutes, and more than 200 such pharmacists with false certificates are registered under Assam Pharmacy Council (APC). ARPA's demand is that a high level impartial inquiry should be made about these suspicious institutions.
The association also suspected that some employees in Assam Pharmacy Council are directly involved in the illegal registration of such pharmacists. Addressing the media at Pharmacy Bhaban, Hengrabari, ARPA president, Dhrubo Gogoi brought to light that Kamal Hassan, a pharmacist with Reg. No. 18467, has acquired a Diploma in Pharmacy from such a suspicious institute, and hence, his certificates are deemed to be fake. But he was able to register in the APC with such false documents.
ARPA demands that a CID inquiry should proceed against Kamal Hassan, and that a written complaint should be lodged in the Indian Pharmacy Council against him.
