Film with PwD (Persons with Disabilities) Actors Receives Fame At International level

GUWAHATI: On the day of World Disability Day, the poster of Rising Sun, a movie acted by PwD (Persons with Disabilities) showcasing their miserable life and difficulties, has been released at Axom Xahitya Bhawan.

The film has succeeded in grabbing international fame at different film competition including Best Film in Accolade Globe Film Competition in Physically Challenged section from a total of 43,000 films. Besides being awarded with the Best Indian Feature Film in Crown Wood International Film Festival, the film has also won the best award in White Unicorn International Film Festival. The film has also officially been selected to Florence Film Festival and Open Window International Film Challenge.

Speaking on the occasion of poster release ceremony, Pramila Rani Brahma said that if we can provide the physically challenged section with necessary opportunity, they can definitely rise in international platform. Brahma appealed litterateurs to showcase the real picture that this section of people goes through in every single day.

Also present in the occasion Retired DGP Kuladhar Saikia spoke on the necessity of a proper system, so that the physically challenged people have to face no difficulties in case of sign language.
