FIR lodged against upload of recorded videos of Sri Raghupati on Youtube and Facebook

GUWAHATI: A First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the producer of Sri Raghupati regarding the violation of the Indian Copyright Act and Cinematography Act by recording parts of the film illegally and uploading them on Youtube and Facebook.

The producer mentioned that some users of Youtube and Facebook had recorded parts of the film and uploaded them to their channels and pages. While attaching a list of such weblinks, he added that these activities are not only a violation of the laws but also create losses to both the producers and the government in terms of taxes. He, therefore, requested that the police take the necessary steps in that direction.
