Gauhati University all set for its 28th Convocation on February 24

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University is all set for its 28th convocation slated for February 24 at its convocation hall. The convocation will have presided over State Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, who is the Chancellor of the University. Eminent scientist Prof. Sudhir Kumar Sopory will deliver the Convocation address.

GU Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pratap Jyoti Handique said that the Convocation is being held in the University playground due to seat constraints. The university will confer D. Litt on eminent litterateur Arup Kumar Dutta and Doctorate Degree on eminent sculptor Biren Singha. Accordingly, Ph. D with M. Phil will be conferred on 342, besides Graduate and Post-Graduate degrees.
