Gauhati University offline exam postponed

GUWAHATI: After continuous demands made by the students, Gauhati University has postponed offline examinations scheduled from January 21 to January 24.

However, theory and practical examinations scheduled from January 27 will be held as per the previous schedule, stated in the circular.

The new dates for the examinations that have been postponed will be informed by the university authorities later.

In view of the rise in COVID-19 cases across Assam, especially in the Kamrup (M) district, students of the university demanded postponement the upcoming offline examination, to be held for PG and Integrated M.Com Odd Semester students.

Several students of the university have tested positive for COVID-19 and sources said that the threat posed by COVID-19 is the reason behind postponement of examinations.
