Gauhati University to resume final semester classes from September 1

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University is all set to resume regular classes for final semester students from September 1 onwards. As stated in a notification issued by the university on Friday, the decision has been taken following the 'proposed govt. guideline' by the Commissioner and Secretary of Higher Education, Assam for reopening of degree colleges from 1st of September, 2020.

Regular classes will commence for postgraduate 4^th semester, undergraduate 6^th semester, L.L.B. 6^th semester along with BA LLB and BBA LLB and B.Com LLB 10th semester students. The notification further states that hostels will be reopened on September 1. While the undergraduate examinations will begin from September 22, the postgraduate examinations will begin from September 25. However, as per the notification there may be some changes as per directive of the UGC.
