General Administration Department issues office order regarding NOC

GUWAHATI: Employees who are working under the General Administration Department (GAD) do not need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if they apply for other government jobs. The GAD has issued an office order regarding obtaining an NOC.

The office order said that it is seen that while applying to the different posts advertised by various government departments, organisations, institutions, commissions, etc., an NOC needs to be produced by the incumbents who are already employed under the government.

In order to make the recruitment process smooth and hassle-free, henceforth, employees under the General Administration (Secretariat Establishment) Department shall not require any NOC for applying for any other post in any government organization. However, any aspiring candidates must use this department when applying for such positions with any organization, including state and central governments. Further, in cases where an NOC is mandatory from the employer, the applicant may obtain an NOC from the department mentioning the same.
