GMC planning to create model wards within Guwahati

GUWAHATI: GMC officials have informed that GMC is planning to create model wards within Guwahati, and work on garbage segragation. But GMC is confronting problems right now like irregularity of garbage collection, dry waste collection and many more.

According to GMC sources, GMC is also planning to install CCTV cameras in various places to check indiscriminate dumping of garbage. The Corporation is trying to elicit a solution of timely garbage collection, since the tender periods of NGOs entrusted with garbage collection duties have come to an end.

GMC has also sought help from different agencies to provide training to unskilled workers to convert them into skilled workers and accelerate GMC works in the future.
