GMC restores water supply

GUWAHATI, July 7: After a two-day water crisis following the partial damage of a pipeline near Guwahati Club, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has restored regular water supply from Friday. The pipeline got damaged when PWD people were doing some construction work. At least 2 lakh litres of drinking water was wasted, and accordingly water crisis hit the residents of Sarania, Rajgarh, Lachit Nagar, and Guwahati Club. Moreover, the repair work also caused huge traffic congestion at GNB Road and Guwahati Club for two consecutive days.
