GMCH staff held for illegally selling blood units

A laboratory technician of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), identified as Prasanna Baishya, was arrested on Friday for illegally selling blood units.

GUWAHATI: A laboratory technician of the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), identified as Prasanna Baishya, was arrested on Friday for illegally selling blood units.

Sources said that Baishya was arrested for selling three units of blood to the relatives of a patient for Rs 11,000 with the connivance of a broker.
