Governor Jagdish Mukhi, CM Sarbananda Sonowal greet people on Chhath Puja

GUWAHATI: Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal greeted the people across the State on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja, which is a festival of self-discipline, faith, belief and prayers to the Sun God.

In a message Governor Mukhi said, "My heartfelt greetings to the people all across the State on the auspicious occasion of Chhath Puja where people participate to offer prayers to Sun God. Hope the celebrations of the festival depict utmost self-discipline, faith and belief and help in strengthening human values like restraint over material desires, renunciation etc".

He urged all not to make much gatherings and follow the safety guidelines and COVID- 19 protocols set by the administration and pray for the betterment of humanity.
