Guwahati: The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, inaugurated a three-day Residential Orientation cum Bootcamp under its flagship project “Establish, Develop and Manage Entrepreneurship Development Centres and Incubation Centres in North East Region’s Educational Institutions”. The initiative is sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong, under the Ministry of DoNER, Government of India.

Designed as a curated programme for selected entrepreneurs from across the eight Northeastern states, the bootcamp marks the beginning of a comprehensive six-month incubation programme. The event was officially launched by IIE Director Ishwar C. Poojar, accompanied by the project implementation team — Prasanta Goswami, Associate Faculty & Project In-charge; Himanshu Barman, Project Manager; and Swagat Gogoi, Senior Executive. Their presence highlighted the institute’s commitment to nurturing grassroots entrepreneurship in the region.

In collaboration with Jawaharlal Nehru College, Boko, represented by Dr. Alimpa Bhuyan Boruah and Bapukan Saikia from the college’s Incubation Centre, the bootcamp aims to provide immersive training, mentorship, and skill development for Idea Stage, Early Stage, and Revenue Stage entrepreneurs.

The programme focuses on equipping participants with real-world entrepreneurial skills and insights into current industry trends — setting a strong foundation for the next generation of innovative ventures in the Northeast.
