Guwahati: In a celebration of talent, perseverance, and achievement, Assam down town University hosted the AdtU Success Meet 2025, honouring the remarkable feat of 700+ students who secured placements across prestigious national and international companies during the 2024–2025 campus recruitment season.

The event, held at the university’s K Block Auditorium, was organized by the Directorate of Career Advancement (DCA) and witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Narendra Nath Dutta, Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Vice Chancellor; Prof. (Dr.) Pranveer Singh, Pro Vice Chancellor; and the members of the Board of Trustees, deans, faculty members, parents, and hundreds of jubilant students.

Delivering the inaugural address, Prof. (Dr.) N. C. Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of AdtU, remarked, “This is more than a success meet; it is a celebration of dreams fulfilled. These 700+ success stories are proof of the resilience and potential of our students, supported by dedicated mentors, families, and a visionary placement team.”

The ceremony applauded the efforts of the Directorate of Career Advancement, whose consistent efforts led to placement drives by 115 reputed organizations, including TCS, Cognizant, Vodafone, Airtel, Blinkit, Jaro Education, Alembic Pharmaceuticals, ThoughtWorks, ITC, Marico, Apollo Hospitals, Omega Healthcare, Max Cement, UltraTech Cement, Haleon, and many more. The highest salary package stood at Rs 12.76 LPA, with an average package of Rs 4.5 LPA, marking a record-setting season for the university.

Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c), Directorate of Career Advancement, shared her gratitude and enthusiasm:

“Each student’s placement is a story of ambition, effort, and transformation. We are proud to have played a part in shaping these journeys, and we remain committed to widening our network and unlocking greater opportunities in the coming years,” a press release said.
