Guwahati: Axam Xahitya Xabha Adopts One-Man, One-Post Norm

GUWAHATI: The Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) has adopted the one-man one-post norm. It has already requested those who hold more than one post in the AXX to quit one of the two posts by May 20.

According to the AXX, it took this decision in the first meeting of its central committee held on February 4 and its first executive committee meeting held on March 9 this year.

The decision taken is that no executive member of the AXX for the 2025-27 term can hold any post or membership at any district xahitya xabha and branch xahitya xabhas. Likewise, no member of a district xahitya xabha can hold any post or membership in any branch xahitya xabha.

This norm will be followed in the election of the AXX central committee, district committees, branch committees, and the executive and subcommittee members of the reception committees.
