Guwahati: Black SUV Veers off Hill Near Gauhati Medical College

GUWAHATI: A black SUV lost control and veered off the hill near Gauhati Medical College (GMC), opposite Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences, in the late hours of Saturday. According to official reports, the vehicle slid off the roadside while trying to manoeuvre on the hilly stretch. Two occupants were inside the SUV at the time of the incident, but both managed to escape unhurt. No casualties have been reported.

A traffic police official from Bhangagarh stated, "The accident occurred late at night, and both individuals inside the vehicle escaped. The accident likely happened due to low visibility or a driving error. Nothing major occurred. We recovered the vehicle in the morning, as no cranes were available at night."

Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution while driving on hilly roads, especially during nighttime when visibility is reduced. GMC Deploys Jet Sprays, Water Sprinklers to Curb Air Pollution.
