GUWAHATI: The lifeless body of a young man, who had been missing for several days, was found floating in the Bharalu River near Manpara in Guwahati on Monday morning. Following the discovery, Fatasil Ambari police arrived at the spot and launched an investigation.

Locals and family members identified the body as that of Subhrajit Pal, a young man who had gone missing last Friday. According to police, Subhrajit was a driver and lived with his mother. His family had filed a missing person report at the Fatasil Police Station. The family suspects it to be a case of murder and has alleged the involvement of two youths—Rajib and Sonai. They claim that the duo is responsible for Subhrajit’s death. The police are currently investigating the matter and working to officially confirm the identity of the body.
