Guwahati: Clash in Ganeshguri Leads to FIRs from Cotton College Student and Businessman

GUWAHATI: The DCP of Guwahati East Police District, Mrinal Deka, said today that both Cotton College student Hemango Das and businessman Binod Kumar Purbe lodged FIRs at Dispur Police Station. According to the DCP, Hemango Das hit Binod Kumar Purbe from behind at Wholesale Gali at Ganeshguri in the city yesterday. Binod Kumar Purbe slapped Hemango, and that led to an altercation between the two. In the meantime, Binod Kumar’s two sons, Manish Kumar Purbe and Anish Kumar Purbe, joined their father and beat up Hemango Das, the DCP said. Hemango Das then disappeared from the place and came back with a group of youths and beat up Manish Kumar Purbe, the DCP said.
