Guwahati: Cyber Police recover Rs 1.24 Lakh lost in online investment scam

Guwahati: In a swift response to a cybercrime complaint, a team from the Cyber Police Station in Panbazar successfully recovered Rs 1.24 lakh out of Rs 1.5 lakh lost by a Chandmari resident in an online investment scam. According to officials, the victim had reported being duped in a fraudulent investment scheme. Acting promptly, the Cyber PS team traced the transactions and managed to get Rs 1,24,000 credited back to the victim’s account. Efforts are currently underway to recover the remaining amount.
