Guwahati: Dispur Police on Job to Crack Mystery behind Death of Youth

GUWAHATI: The mysterious death of 27-year-old Navjyoti Talukdar from Sialmari village in Tihu has now become a subject of a criminal investigation, after Dispur Police registered a case based on the family’s allegations of murder.

Navjyoti, who worked at a private financial firm in Guwahati, was residing in a rented apartment in the Kahilipara area along with his partner. On the night of July 9, he was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Although initially treated as a case of suicide, new developments and disturbing evidence have cast serious doubts on that theory.

Shocking photos and videos that emerged after the incident show Navjyoti completely nude, seated beside a window shortly before his death. These visuals have prompted the family to raise strong suspicions of foul play, asserting that he was murdered.

Following the FIR lodged by the family, Dispur Police have now registered a formal case and are treating the matter as suspicious, launching a deeper probe into the circumstances surrounding Navjyoti’s death.
