Guwahati: Document forgery racket busted in Sonapur

Guwahati: A team from Sonapur Police Station raided Gogoi Communication at New Market, busting a large-scale document forgery operation. The team seized 12 digital seals in the names of various government and medical authorities, an HP Victus laptop, a Redmi tablet, an HP laptop bag, Canon and Epson printers, eight suspected forged birth certificates, and two forged “To Whom It May Concern” certificates.

The accused, identified as shop owner Manab Kumar Roy of Baruahbari, was allegedly involved in producing fake documents, including duplicate birth certificates. Legal action has been initiated.
