Guwahati: Drug Peddler Arrested; Heroin Seized by Special Task Force of Assam

Guwahati: The Special Task Force (STF) of Assam conducted a raid on Wednesday afternoon at 2 No. Railway Gate under the jurisdiction of Panbazar Police Station. During the operation, a drug peddler was apprehended, and contraband items were seized.

The arrested individual has been identified as Suresh Prasad (21), son of late Sarma Prasad, a resident of 2 No. Rail Gate, Panbazar, Kamrup (M). His permanent address is listed as Ghorialdubi village, under Bokajan Police Station in the Karbi-Anglong district.

The items recovered include 19 vials containing suspected heroin, weighing a total of 25.4 grams, and cash amounting to Rs. 190. Legal action has been initiated against him.
