Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pegu said, “The tablets have been given to the meritorious students for their educational development in this age of technology. Since the state is rich in languages and ethnic groups, stress is given to mother tongues as a medium of instruction. From today, the Mising language will be the medium of instruction in 200 schools in 11 districts in the state. So far, nine languages in the state are mediums of instruction.
