Guwahati: Garchuk police arrested two murder accused in city

GUWAHATI: Garchuk police arrested two brothers – Utpal Das and Nabjyoti Das – of Gakhir Chowk in the Boragaon area in Guwahati on April 14 in connection with the murder of their neighbour Krishna Kalita. According to police sources, an altercation over a minor issue led to the murder of Kalita. In a fit of rage, the two accused brothers attacked Krishna with a sharp weapon repeatedly. The police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and arrested the two suspects. Investigations are underway.
