Guwahati: Key accused nabbed in IMFL smuggling case in city

Guwahati: In a major breakthrough, a team from Basistha Police Station has apprehended the key accused in a recent Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) smuggling case. The accused, identified as Abu Bakkar Laskar (40) of Dholai, was caught following a follow-up investigation.

Laskar has confessed to using a truck bearing (AS01RC7957), which had already been seized along with 160 cartons of IMFL, for smuggling activities. Legal proceedings against him have been initiated.
