GUWAHATI: The second day of the Livestock and Poultry Fair, held at the Farm Gate ground in Khanapara, Guwahati, witnessed a large turnout of visitors. The fair, which showcases various species of livestock, poultry, and other animals, has become a major attraction for animal lovers and farmers.
The fair features a wide range of animals, including cattle, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, turkeys, and pigeons. Visitors can also purchase local food items, such as rice, joha rice, chira, akhoi, gur, doi, cream, eggs, meat, and vegetables. Additionally, the fair showcases modern equipment and tools used in agriculture and animal husbandry. Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation chairman Manoj Saikia expressed hope that the fair would attract even more visitors on its final day. The fair has been organized to promote livestock and poultry farming in the state and to provide a platform for farmers and entrepreneurs to showcase their products.
