Guwahati: Man charred to death under mysterious circumstances in Beltola area

Guwahati: A middle-aged man was found completely charred inside his residence under mysterious circumstances in Beltola area on Monday morning, sending shockwaves through the locality.

The deceased has been identified as Naresh Chahani, who had been working as a night watchman in the Basistha Chariali area for several years. According to initial reports, Chahani is believed to have died in his sleep after a fire broke out in the house during the night. However, the exact cause of the fire and the circumstances leading to his death remain unclear.

Soon after receiving information, a team from Basistha Police arrived at the scene and recovered the charred body. Authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the cause of the fire.
