Guwahati: Man Held for Railway Job Scam in City

Guwahati: Noonmati Police have arrested Dhan Kumar Deka, founder and Zonal In-Charge of the Railways Mall Godam Shramik Sangha (RMGSS), for allegedly using the fake organization to run a fake railway recruitment drive. According to police sources, Deka, originally from Morigaon and currently residing in a rented house in Chachal, is accused of collecting Rs 2–3 lakh from each applicant by promising them jobs in the Indian Railways. The scam is believed to have targeted multiple job seekers, with money reportedly taken under the pretext of securing employment in the railways’ goods warehouse segment.
