Guwahati Man Murdered in Dawki Forest, Meghalaya

GUWAHATI: In a gruesome incident, a man from Assam was found murdered in a remote forest area near Dawki in Meghalaya.

The victim, identified as Tapan Dey from Basistha in Guwahati, had reportedly travelled to Meghalaya last Saturday. During his journey, his vehicle was allegedly seized by a group of assailants who subsequently killed him.

Dey's body was recovered late last night, prompting an immediate investigation by Meghalaya Police to trace those responsible for the crime.
