Guwahati: Man succumbs after mysterious stabbing in city

Guwahati: A man was found with multiple stab injuries in the parking area of the Silver Orchid building located in the Gorchuk area on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Mriganka Barman, a resident of Nalbari. According to police sources, Barman had spent nearly three hours at the hotel in the same building with a woman. The two were reportedly involved in a heated argument while checking out of the premises. Soon after, Barman was found lying in a pool of blood in the parking lot, having been attacked with a sharp object. Gorchuk police rushed him to a private hospital, where he was declared dead. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact sequence of events.
