Guwahati: In two swift and commendable operations, city police teams rescued minors and foiled a human trafficking attempt in the city on Monday. In the first incident, a team from Basistha Police Station rescued two missing minors, a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, from the Beharbari area. The duo had been reported missing from Jaluguti Police Post in Morigaon district. Following the rescue, both minors were safely handed over to the concerned police post for further necessary action. In a separate operation, a team from Dispur Police Station successfully thwarted a human trafficking attempt, arresting four individuals, including one woman. The arrested have been identified as Hemanta Borah (32) of Chatia, Jainur Ali (38) of Dodora, and Aminul Islam (36) of Lakhipur. Five victims were safely rescued during the operation. Police confirmed that legal action has been initiated against the accused.
