GUWAHATI: Two students from Noonmati High School in Guwahati, who went missing while on their way to an examination, have been traced in Howrah, West Bengal, sources said on Tuesday. A team from the Noonmati Police has already left for Howrah to bring the students back to Guwahati.
According to sources, the police launched a search operation after the families reported the disappearance of the students. The families had informed the police that the duo had left home to appear for their examinations but never reached the school. The police were able to track the students’ location to Howrah in West Bengal, where they were rescued.
Initially, the families had suspected that the boys might have travelled to Hyderabad, as Bikash Rajbongshi had been inquiring about the distance to Hyderabad from Guwahati. However, the police were able to track them down to Howrah, where they were safely rescued.
