Guwahati Municipal Corporation issues notice over change in business profile

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has issued a notice to a business establishment at Paltanbazar here for displaying a signboard and business profile which is totally different from the business for which the trade licence was obtained. According to GMC sources, the trade licence was obtain for operating a marriage hall, but the hoarding now displayed at the site mentions a totally name of type of business. The business establishment has been asked to obtain and submit fresh documents within seven days, including a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for construction, occupancy certificate with as-built plan, clearance from Pollution Control Board, Fire NOC and NOC from DCP, Traffic.
