Guwahati Municipal Corporation takes action for drawing water illegally

GUWAHATI: Officials with the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) took action after receiving complaints regarding inadequate pressure in the water pipes from several people. On checking, it was found that some people had engaged in secretly drawing water from the lines using small pumps. As a part of the action taken by the authorities, two handpumps, one of 0.5 hp and another of 1 hp, were confiscated by the officials.
